【英国驾照 已经过期 三个月 求助】

转眼间，离开生活了五年的英国已经刚好10年了。 今年去泰国旅游时候，发现了英国考的驾照过期了三个月。。当时考驾照费了不少心思过程艰难。。真心不想放弃这个驾照，以后在其他旅游估计也可以用上。
所以请问大家几个关于更新驾照的问题。

Applying by post
You need to fill in renewal form D798 and include:

a new passport type photo taken within the last month (don’t sign the back of the photo)
your current photocard licence (you need to tick the relevant box on the D798 form if you’ve lost it)
a cheque or postal order for £17, payable to DVLA (no fee is needed if you have a medical short period licence or you’re aged 70 or over)
You also need to include identity documents if you’ve changed your name.

这里我有几个问题。 因为本人已经不在英国居住了，护照上面的英国签证也早已经过期。 而且驾照的副页不见了，只有那个卡片式的driving licence 在。 我能叫在英国的朋友renew这个驾照吗？ 我看上面是可以邮寄的。

The paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence was abolished on 8 June 2015 原来驾照的counterpart已经废除了。。

那下来就是一个问题，，必须本人去办理吗？？而且他回邮的地址是注册地址还是填表的地址呢？？

找个能让你用他英国地址的朋友。

有的。。是有可以用的地址的。。就是不知道需要把护照一起邮寄过去不。。

因为当时确实挺难才取得。。所以不想轻易就不要了。。

不需要护照，照片表钱就ok了。counterpart已经作废了。
