中国护照Tier 2签证能申请child benefits吗？

目前持中国护照Tier 2签证。刚生小孩。同事提醒我说可以申请child benefits。但我的签证上写的是 No public funds。

申请表上的确有一项：
You are subject to immigration control if:
• the Home Office says you can stay in the UK - known as 'leave to
enter or remain’ - but only if you don’t claim certain benefits,
tax credits or housing help paid by the UK government - known as
'recourse to public funds’

Google了一下貌似有些国家的外国人也可以申请。但没有中国在列。想咨询一下过来人，是不是不可以？要拿到永居以后才行？

No. 不能申。

不可以，你同事可能不知道签证吧，我以前英国同事也是，刚生完孩子那阵，也是这么跟我说的。
