有一年学生签被REJECT过，具体情况如下：
我的签证是31/12/2005到期，签证记录显示我于04/01/2006第一次邮寄了申请，
由于信用卡没能扣掉钱，UKBA REJECT 掉我的申请。记录显示Home Office在25/01/2006 Despatched the Decision Letter made by Charging Support Team Unit, accompanied with all my Previous Application Documents。我于08/02/2006第二次邮寄了申请，一个多月后顺利拿到了签证。
我想大家有可能碰到过类似的情况，而且论坛里的朋友都觉得这是一个很大的GAP对申请10年永居有很大影响。今天刚好找到一些对这种情况有利的条文，在这里一起贴出来，也能使碰到类似情况的朋友们宽宽心。

6. The invalidation procedure was not mandatory. If the application fell for mandatory refusal, caseworkers should have refused it. In other cases, the invalidation procedure should have been used in preference to a normal written enquiry about failure to comply, especially where failure was significant - for example, failure to complete the Personal History section of an application form.
7. Where the invalidation procedure was applied, the application was invalidated if it did not comply with the prescribed requirements within 28 days of the applicant or immigration adviser receiving notification. If the application was returned within that 28-day period but still did not comply with requirements, no further attempt to secure compliance should have been made. Regulations did not allow the application to be invalidated before the 28 day period expired. In non-compliance cases, the application was rejected as invalid and a refund triggered. To allow for internal delays, the application was held for 35 days before rejection was initiated.
8. Where the application was correctly resubmitted within 28 days of the applicant or immigration adviser receiving notification of the deficiency, normal consideration should have continued. The date of application in such cases is the date on which the application was originally made, not the date the resubmitted application was entered on GCID. But where the full period (i.e. 28 days plus 7) had expired before the applicant’s response was received, the application will have become invalid and had to be rejected accordingly even if the applicant had put everything right.

楼主你当时信用卡为什么不能扣掉钱啊？我也准备申请Tier1general，准备用信用卡给他扣呢，看了你的帖子我开始担心起来了。
邮寄护照后不久用同一张信用卡交了一半的学费，超出了使用限额。一时疏忽，酿成大错！
暂时还没想请律师!
