posh:1. (of places and things) expensive and of high quality He takes her to some really posh restaurants.
2.(of people and their voice) from a high social class A woman with a very posh accent telephoned for him earlier.
Li Tianyi made big trouble to his parents with his posh car.

bump into:to meet someone you know when you have not planned to meet them
We bumped into Alison when we were in London last week。

It is so akward to bump into my supervisor in Liverpool One since I said to focus on my paper this morning。

地道的说法是:go off
go off: to stop liking or being interested in someone or something
I went off beefburgers after I got food poisoning from a take-away.
I went off Peter when he said those dreadful things about Clare.
I went off skii after an unexpected accident.
She went off the adult film after she got married.

地道的说法:out of blue
out of blue:If something happens out of the blue, it is completely unexpected
One day, out of the blue, she announced that she was leaving.
Out of blue, I bumped into my first lover in Liverpool One.

地道的说法:after you.
after you: used to politely say that someone can go in front of you or serve themselves with food before you
“Can I pour you some coffee?” “Oh no, after you.”
自己造一个: “hi, would you like to do your presentation firstly?" “no, after you”.

Piss off: annoy someone
He never does any washing-up and it’s starting to piss me off.
I were really pissed off when she bowed a whistle after my speech.

显摆,卖弄;炫耀 show off
show off:behaves in a way intended to attract attention which other people often find annoying
I do not want to show off but I must tell you that I came first in all my exams when I was at university.
It is so sad that lots of Chinese girls show off with their LV bags, UGG shoes, and IPhones.

抱怨,挑剔 make a fuss
make a fuss: to compalin, to be difficult
If I’m in a restaurant and the service is slow, I can’t help making a fuss.
It will make your calm if you stop making a fuss。

try sth out:to use something to discover if it works or if you like it
Don’t forget to try out the equipment before setting up the experiment.
因为看到try out the latest ipads才知道:funk:

Passing the buck.

pass the buck (mainly disapproving ) :to blame someone or make them responsible for a problem that you should deal with
She’s always trying to pass the buck and I’m sick of it!
It is a kind of virtue that we do not pass the buck to others。

Let us try out if the discussion could help us improve the vocabulary.

I am off.
I will go home or I am finished太Chinglish.

Spotless:very clean
I know we have made the floor fiithy, but I promise it will be spotless in an hour.
The floor looks spotless after polished.

Trip up/over: fall over/to hit something with one’s foot, causing on to fall or almost fall
I can’t believe how clumsy I was yesterday; firstly, I trod on someones’ glasses and then I tripped over this bloke’s beiefcase.
Oh, Mate, watch your feet, I almost tripped up them in the corridor.

温馨的 cosy
cosy:comfortable and pleasant, especially (of a building) because small and warm
This room is nice and cosy in the winter.
Althought my accommodation is small, it is cosy and neat.

from scratch:from the beginning, from nothing
Why do not we just scrap the whole idea and start from scratch?
My career will start from scratch after completing my three-year research.
