To be honest, you should have started job-hunting one year before finishing your PhD, particularly in business area. You will be very lucky if you get a job out of one interview. Interview skills do not come naturally.
London universities should have a lot of career consulting services for students. Why don’t you talk to them?
And I think I agree with the previous comment. You are probably over-qualified for those jobs you already applied. I don’t think there is very much point to do an accounting PhD if you are going to big 4. What they look for is someone who can do the job well, not someone who can ‘research’ the job. Better chance for you in academia.
Think about your aim when you started doing a PhD… and good luck…
