Ofsted的头Michael Wilshaw一向是个敢说的人，最近要退休那更是可以胡说八道了，他说北英格兰白人投Brexit的一个原因是他们的孩子学校成绩不如移民后代。
他说的有点夸大，但还是有些根据的，北英格兰的很多中学是failing school，很多working class的白人孩子成绩都很差，但南英格兰（特别是伦敦和South East）问题就没有那么突出。其实Brexit时候电视访问就看到过，有一次电视访问北英格兰某地的几个白人大妈，她们说她们要vote leave的原因是她们的孩子进不了grammar school，位子都被移民孩子占了。她们的resentment完全可以理解，但解决的方式不一定对，北英格兰移民不多的地方working class white的孩子failing的比例很大，但伦敦这些移民多的地方working class white的孩子学习还不错，很多英国人觉得移民孩子提供了竞争的环境所以逼的working class white也努力了，我觉得还有另外一个问题就是缺乏明白，北英格兰很多地方working class white以福利为生的人很多，那孩子当然看不到education的必要了。
在伦敦地区（比如Kingston），grammar school学生外来移民比例非常高，很多白人也是很resentful的，中国人如果生活在working class的环境里面孩子学习很好的话，最好还是低调一些才好、。
