main residence虽然没有明确的定义,但是从common sense来讲,B是他的main residence,因为他住在那,所有的bill都在那,车险,council tax,vote register都在B,曾经的residence不计算在内

如果真要省stamp duty,可以cancel掉A的rental,住回A几个月,所有bill都转过去,然后再买卖操作,这算是钻空子,也不排除HMRC认定你是主观意愿想要逃税跟你打官司的可能

你有A房了,只要在期限内不卖,现在买第二套房现在就是要多给3%surcharge 印花税。不要管你是不是自住。
