Please help!!!
I haven’t used Windows Vista before, just bought a computer and the systme is Vista!!!
I can’t type Chinese at all although I’ve installed the Sougo Pinyin, I remembered that when I use Windows XP, there is an option ‘install asian language’ sth like this, but there is no such option in Vista.
I clicked the ‘help’ button and it says I need to install a software called’ Windows® Vista™ Language Interface Pack ’ and I found that on the Microsoft web but there are only sereval languages that no Chinese at all, I downloaded them all, but still no Chinese.
How can I download the software that can install Chinese?
Could anyone help me ???
谢谢所有回帖的jms，我突然间就能打中文了，但是不知道为什么，安装的一些中文软件，还有qq这些东西还是乱码的，我已经去了control panel 把所有的都改成chinese和china了啊，也都重启过电脑了，可还是乱码，这个问题该怎么解决啊？

Control Panel - Clock, Language, and Region - Regional andLanguage Options - Administrative - Change System Locale
将system locale改成简体中文的，你的电脑就可以正常显示了，然后下载的那些输入法就都可以用了

把语言，地域设置什么的都改成chinese ，china 就行了，我就是vista， 刚开始我也不会，不过现在弄好了。 :-)

BUT it is not that easy, I changed all the language to Chinese and I add the Chinese input, but it needs to install asian language, I read the ‘HELP’ and it tells me to download the software first then it will appear ‘install asian language’.
I’ve already changed everything in the control panel----regional and language, but it really doesn’t help.
I know how to do it but just can’t find chinese through all the download.

I can read chinese website but can’t read any documents and also can’t read anything on QQ.
好像只有business还有ultimate的版本的vista才能选择安装其他国家的语言包更改语言，如果不是就只能显示中文而已，但是不能把vista变成中文的

en, you are right, I saw it said Vista ultimate and Vista enterprise.
I don't want to change the system into chinese but just read and type chinese, how can I do it mm?
控制面板–区域语言设置–把所有的区域都改成中国
语言添加–IME中文输入法
然后把系统local设置为china PR
然后重启
试试看？？

Vista多语言版本身提供了中文的支持。
你需要在控制面板的语言选项中选择中文地区non-uni code的选项。
上面那个粗鲁的家伙，vista不需要装中文包的，谢谢。

你试试重新下载一次这些软件，然后安装，应该就可以了。我当时就是这么办的
