They were frilly, of course, and just this side of sexy.
The leopard print pattern was trimmed with imitation lace and the cut was bikini brief. More to the point though, they were ludicrously cheap.
Punters just couldn't wait to get their hands on this pair of knickers yesterday when Marks & Spencer offered them at a penny a pair.
But thousands of disappointed shoppers left knickerless from the store's heavily-hyped 'Penny Bazaar' yesterday after the best bargains disappeared in minutes - followed by everything else, at a rate of 60 items per second across the country

应该是一小部分东西。。。不管是什么1P也是灰常便宜的啦

Some who queued for hours outside M&S stores for the 125th anniversary stunt found that the only things on offer at 19th century prices were a bag of boiled sweets or a fizzy drink.

Frilly panties had disappeared ages ago, as had most other cut-price items that the nonsweet sucking, non- orangeade drinking customers might have fancied spending a penny on, if you pardon the expression.

So it was only the early arrivals and forward thinkers yesterday who scooped Penny Bazaar bargains such as scarves, ties, a purse and jewellery. For everyone else, it seems, it was more of a Penny Dreadful.

This was the first day of the store’s three

好象刚才有个帖子说好多人5点就去排队了 :cn01:

Trouble was yesterday, neither love nor money was any use when the shelves were empty. The country’s 300 stores served 130,000 customers in record time after queues up to 1,000 strong formed. The keenest would-be customers had arrived four hours in advance.

Hence, most M&S branches despatched their entire day’s allocation in under an hour, some in half that time. In Slough - historic home of the Mars Bar, and a microcosm of multi-cultural Britain - the High Street branch sold 1,000 items in precisely 114 minutes after doors opened at 9am. However the ubiquitous boiled sweets - and then solely drinks - rapidly became the only items available.

哈哈,我不会排除+人挤人去买糖果和可乐的 :cn08:

投资个口罩去人多的地方,太不划算啦
