Planning – this is don’t via the eplanning portal, I will register an account in your name and complete and submit the application on your behalf
Cost is £202 – (I would aim to cover this and the invoice you for it)
Time – from submitting, they advise 6-8weeks, you generally get observations within 4weeks and then I may require to make amendments and resubmit
Building warrant/standards – this is manual submission, I will complete the forms and print the drawings; you may have to drop this package off personally at John street in Glasgow and pay when you are there
Costs - Printing - £50 (I would aim to cover this and the invoice you for it)
Costs – application, based on a construction of 15k this fee may be about £420 – the more costly the construction the higher the fee
Time – from submitting, they advise 6-8weeks, you generally get observations within 4weeks and then I may require to make amendments and resubmit
I generally do not get too involved with contacting building control, I would only do this firstly to confirm the applications are in the system and secondly to discuss any observations – I encourage my clients to be involved with the local authority as I am not providing a full architectural service for their project.
