看了颇多配偶签证的帖子发现一个通常大家都没搞清楚的问题。申请Apply to join family living permanently in the UK 签证，里面包括4种类型Joining your partner （所谓的配偶签证）， Joining your parents， Coming to look after your child, 和 Coming to be cared for - you’re an adult dependent relative。
- Documents you need to provide
You’ll need to provide:
your current passport or other valid travel ID
previous passports
1 passport-sized colour photograph
proof of your relationship to the person you’re joining
proof you can meet the financial requirement or maintenance requirement
proof of your knowledge of English if you’re 18 or over - unless you’re applying as an adult dependent relative
your tuberculosis test results if you’re from a country where you have to take the test
You may need to provide additional documents depending on your circumstances - eg a sponsorship form from your family member in the UK.
那究竟哪个签证类别需要填这个sponsership undertaking form 呢？
答案是 配偶不需要！是给申请成年亲属陪伴的 （adult dependent relative）.

Coming to be cared for - you’re an adult dependent relative
You must be dependent on a parent, grandchild, brother, sister, son or daughter of someone living permanently in the UK.
You must prove that:
you need long-term care to do everyday personal and household tasks
the care you need is not available or affordable in the country you live in
the person you’ll be joining in the UK will be able to support, accommodate and care for you without claiming public funds for at least 5 years
you’re 18 or over

很多人当然是不管有用没用交了让签证官自己看吧，交了上去签证中心看了也就收走了即便不需要，他们也无所谓。
