Within four years’ time, FP has developed a team of approximately FT/ PT 100 young staff members. All employees are either graduates with master/ doctoral degree or experienced professors and experts in the UK higher education sector.
Job brief
We seek a passionate systems programmer who will be working on the DevOps (i.e. development, operation and maintenance within our established FP’s platform) by using the industry’s latest programming languages and technologies of the Microsoft .NET framework.
Position: Systems Programmer
Department: IT Department
Location: UK (remote work during Covid)
Salary: £20 - £25k (based on working experience)
Job type: to start as part-time between June and September 2021, with an expectation to become full-time from 1 Oct 2021.
You report directly to the CTO.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and support the current software system and applications.
• Build new functions on the current system. • Participate in requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Develop software systems in a manner of writing clean and scalable code using .NET programming languages. • Test and deploy software system and applications.
• Maintain software system and applications (e.g. revise, update, and refactor).
• Produce and maintain documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
• Provide technical support and relevant training to users and staff.
• Provide general IT support when necessary.
Job Qualifications
• Good degree in BSc. Major in Computing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English. • Systems programming related project/work experience.
Essential:
• Experience with C# and .NET programming within the ASP.NET framework
• SQL • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Json and XML • Agile methodologies and UML • Technical troubleshooting
• Communication skills and team-working • Good task and time management

• Design/architectural patterns (Model-View-Controller)
• Familiarity with architecture-oriented APIs
• Strong passion for the education and training industry
• Personal integrity, accountability and credibility
