我家那次用的不便宜， thin down and cut back hedge， 700还是800镑。好几年前了。
不过那活自己也真干不了。 我家hedge 是4种不同的碗口粗的树 什么holly, alder, birch,hawthorn 混杂在一起。 以前几十年被修整的时候都是chainsaw 一整，搞得我们接手时候枝条都缠在一起乱糟糟。 而且是个坡上，院内比院外高一米，整个树又2层楼高。 以前借过chainsaw on a pole自己搞过 搞下来的枝条又折腾几天，tip跑了n次才把枝条处理完。

请来的人的确是懂怎么搞的，爬树上拿锯子锯过来。 后来几年长势就整齐多了。虽然到现在都觉得贵，但自己确实没那个本事。

包括4项服务，向council 写申请写报告
砍一棵白杨树（20多米高）送去回收站
往树根里注射化学药品消溶掉树根
来年在同一个位置补种一棵不会长高的小果树

真理来了，谁都能当tree surgeon, “There are no specific tree surgeon qualifications required for this role.”,也就是说收钱砍树的可以说是tree surgeon。 只需要first aid training, chainsaw training之类的干活可能会遇到的事。

砍树是贵的。 尤其是还有TPO的。 我们小区里很多TPO的树，2年一次survey, 有一棵半死不活，council还不让砍，只能修掉顶端一点问题严重的部分，还是在掉落的枝条差点砸到人的情况下。

我家这就是修整枝条，不是砍。否则这一排十几棵下来我还不如自己浇点盐巴啥的处理了。

NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council) is the governing body for tree surgery qualifications. Any good tree surgeon will have at least all the following certificates from NPTC:

Apprenticeship

You could begin your career by doing an apprenticeship.

For example:

  • Arborist Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship
  • Forest Craftsperson Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship

These usually take a minimum of 2 years to complete and combine on-the-job training with learning off site

Entry requirements

You’ll usually need:

  • some GCSEs, usually including English and maths, or equivalent, for an intermediate apprenticeship

Work

You may be able to start as a forest labourer or groundworker, helping a qualified tree surgeon. You could then complete further training on the job in the use of chainsaws, ropes, ladders and harnesses.

你说copy 这么多过来都是recommended training, 你看用词都是“could”,”usually”。 “tree surgeon”这个title 没有法定证书，说白了砍树的工人都能叫“tree surgeon”, 比如我上面说我家砍树来了三个tree surgeon, 这句话一点问题也没有。(没有你说的还要什么一个tree surgeon加“一助”，“二助”什么）

你拿certified医生surgeon 和这个tree surgeon 混为一谈，这都能拿来钻牛角尖杠精，真是服了:laughing:
