为啥我的ILR只给了我5年

才发现这个年限，我这个月拿到的ILR，但是上面有效期知道2024年12月31号，也就是5年的时间，请问这时长正确么？

这段时间出的ILR卡都是这个日期。到时候换卡即可，应该不会有什么额外的条件。

Here’s HO’s official answer, and I quote:

Thank you for your email to the Administrative Review Team.

Please see below for a detailed explanation of the reason why your card has the validity of less than 10 years.

Please bear in mind that we only deal with in country Administrative Reviews therefore we cannot assist you any further in this instance.

If you have any other enquiries please contact our customer service on 0300 1232241 Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4.45pm or Friday, 9am to 4.30pm.

To explain, we are required by the EU to restrict BRPs which do not incorporate the next generation of encryption technology to a validity of 31/12/2024.

Any card restricted to 31/12/2024 which is still rightfully held on 01/07/2024 will be replaced free of charge.

The date restriction does not change the entitlements of the rightful holder to work, access services/benefits or travel. The rightful holder still has settled status.
