律师办理conveyancing 大概需要多久？我是一个带leasehold 的house. 今天问了一下律师说需要10-12周，合理吗？
leasehold takes much longer than freehold.
很难说需要多长时间，完全取决于是不是有节外生枝的事情，自己律师一般不会拖，但对方是不是拖那无法预测。
Leasehold means there will be a management company and / or Freeholder (landlord) involved; your solicitor will need to get receipts from them to confirm things like the last owner has paid all service charge / ground rent / providing keys to carpark, meter room etc. Sometimes the management company can be very busy with other thins so they become quite slow to respond to these things which hold up the exchange (this happened to me once, they held up for almost a month).
10-12 weeks is quite normal; even if you get lucky and everything goes smoothly i would not expect things to conclude within 8 weeks.
Best to let your solicitor to do all the checks necessary.
