【急问！！】MOT Failed, Dangerous defects 还可以开吗，可以开去修吗，查了一下，新规好像根本不能上路

更新一下，MOT 2018 年的新规 MOT 有 dangerous 的 Fail 是不能上路的，要么留在 garage 修理，要么拖走。

MOT Failed 因为其中一个轮胎 tread depth below 1.6mm。 打电话约了一个 garage 说是可以去，但是我查了一下这种情况是不能上路的。

这种情况是不是只能找 mobile fiting 来修，自己完全不能上路呀。

那我该怎么办呢？修完之后还能去同一个 garage re-test 吗？还是得重新 book 一个新 Test. 非常 confuse

That’s pretty bald. Just take it to your nearest tyre place (should only be under 3 miles as there are lots of places) and get it swapped out. Phone them first to check they have the tyre in stock so you don’t waste a journey going down.

After its been fitted, take it back to the garage and they should retest / pass it under the same charge if there was no other mot failures.

Drive carefully and don’t take the car anywhere else until tyre has been replaced

Thank you very much for your reply. Can I drive to another MOT test centre beyond 3 miles to do another test? I don’t trust the previous test centre.

大佬，别慌啊，你这两连问看的我真纠结，首先1.6mm肯定就要换这个没错，其次你得搞清楚run flats就是run flats，不要跟普通轮胎混用，轮胎壁上有RSC标记，这个完全没纠结的地方，再次真没人管你换轮胎之前在哪里开多久，1.6mm就1.6mm啰，又没爆胎，只是过不了MOT而已，最方便的直接开去bmw dealer，换胎 MOT一条龙，就是贵点。

或者干脆把车停回家，google一个你所在城市的换轮胎的公司，上门给你把四个胎全换了都行，1个胎1.6，其他的也跑不脱，一起换了更安全，我记得之前AAA和RAC都有这个服务？

换了胎再去找个好地方做mot，别找阿三和黑哥 {:5_142:}

The only reason I said three miles is that you are always within three mules of a tyre place or not (unless you live in Scotland) {:5_143:}

You have your tyres changed now so its fine for you to drive but the longer you drive the car the more chance you have of being caught by police if you don’t have a valid mot. They will also ask you why didn’t you go to a nearer mot centre.

Can’t you get the mot from the mobile tyre person who fitted your tyre?

呃，我都是在4S店做mot，检查好了，随时让他们给弄，然后一起搞好回家。。。换车胎不是很正常嘛？趁着冬天到了赶紧换就好了。。。
