由于在苹果上找不到有单贴是关于这个问题的，所以发这个贴问请教一下论坛上的各位。
其实问题很简单：PSW里面所指的DATE OF AWARD 是不是就是指毕业证里面所写的那个日期？（还是说要向自己的学校问清楚？）
PSW申请时候所用的学位证明之中，是要求提交两样东西的：
1. original certificate of award
2. original letter from United Kingdom institution
HO官方也说了，申请PSW的时间必须是在指定的学历种类DATE OF AWARD的12个月以内申请。在他们GUIDANCE 里面有写：
Date of award of eligible qualification
75. An applicant can claim 15 points if the eligible qualification was obtained within the 12
months immediately before his/her application for entry clearance or leave to remain under Tier 1 (Post-Study Work). 这个说的是12月期限，明白，OK。
76. The date of award is taken as the date on which the applicant was first notified, in writing, by the awarding institution, that the qualification has been awarded. This notification may have been made in writing, directly to the applicant, or by the institution publishing details of the award, either in writing (for example, via an institution notice board) or electronically (for example, on the institution’s website). Where the notification was not in the form of direct correspondence to the applicant, we will require direct confirmation of the date of award from the institution in writing. 这里说的是申请者被最初通知可以获得毕业文凭的那一天称之为DATE OF AWARD。
77. We do not accept the date of award as the date of graduation. 这里说了，DATE OF AWARD 并不是毕业典礼那一天（一般毕业证上面的日期就是毕业典礼的日期）。
78. Providing the date of award of the eligible qualification is no more than 12 months before the date of application, 15 points will be awarded for this attribute. 这个跟75差不多，也是说12个月内要申请，不过问题是究竟是哪天才是DATE OF AWARD还是不太清楚。

如果DATE OF AWARD就是毕业证上面所写的日期的话（毕业证一定会有一个日期在上面的吧），那HO还要学校多开一封信来干什么？我没有申请过PSW，所以很害怕申请的时候HO的人会找我麻烦说我学历已经过了期。
请问会有DATE OF AWARD并不是毕业证上面那个日期的情况吗？
- 你不可以很字面的去理解这句话. 因为它其实还是making sense的. 因为HO的意思只是想让你在问学校出示学校证明信的时候, 记得一定要再特别标注一下:‘date of award’:
What the letter must confirm
This letter must be an original letter (not a copy), on the official letterheaded paper of the United Kingdom institution where you studied and include the official stamp of that institution. It must have been issued by an authorised official of that institution and must confirm:
* your name;
* the title of the qualification;
* the start and end dates of your period(s) of study and/or research for this qualification at the United Kingdom institution; and
* the date of award (no more than 12 months before the date of your application).

不允许信的上面没有这点的特别标注, 更不希望让申请者就默认觉得自己的毕业日就是自己学位的授予日.
当然, 实际情况里, 不管是一致的还是不一致的, 都是需要在学校证明信上特别标注的.

看来我还是稳妥一点赶紧要求我学校给我开一封信，上面要他们写清楚我的DATE OF AWARD估计HO就没有什么话可说了。
再问一下冰MM，那封信我现在让学校给我开，不过我可能半年之后才用来申请PSW，应该没有什么问题吧（如果学校信的要求还是跟现在一样的话），就是说不会说要在多少天之内发出的学校信才有效类似要求吧？

这个信没有时效性的规定的
