幸好我的是BRP，否则真是护照过期了，签证还有效。当时还想领馆会不会因为我护照过期而缩短签证
出入境暂时没有问题。 但天晓得什么时候就不行了。。。
领馆不会因为你护照要过期而缩短签证的。 现在新签的都是 BRP 卡了。纸头签证是以前签出来的。 是可以新旧两本护照一起用的，或是申请把旧护照里的签证 转移 到新护照上（这个要收费）。
你的纸头上有 照片 么？
没有照片的貌似也不认可了。。。。
我没有误导。 我09年拿到永居，面签的签证管也是这么告知我的。
但现在单位里发下来的官方文件里，白纸黑字 不是真么写的。

Q22 Who is not subject to UK immigration control?
A. The following categories of individuals are not subject to UK
immigration control. You may therefore employ them without restriction:
British citizens;
Commonwealth citizens and citizens of the UK and Colonies with the
right of abode in the UK;
Nationals from the Common Travel Area (Ireland, Isle of Man and the
Channel Islands);
Nationals from European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland
(except for Croatian nationals (until 30 June 2017); and
Non EEA family members of nationals from EEA countries and
Switzerland, if the EEA national is lawfully residing in the UK.
You should still conduct a right to work check on someone who claims to
belong to one of the above groups. In the event that you do not obtain an
acceptable document, and you are found to have employed an illegal worker,
you will not have a statutory excuse against liability for a civil penalty. You will
also avoid unlawful discrimination, by undertaking document checks on all
prospective employees irrespective of their race, accent, place of birth or
apparent nationality.
有自己的公司的话，那就是雇人的时候要留心了。 签证纸在 老护照里 现在不被接受作为证明可以工作 的文件了。
ILR只算是conditionally not subject to immigration control，否则就没有超过两年离境就会被cancel了

Q17已经解释了为了便于管理，所以要求永居纸换brp。这应该是唯一一点subject to immigration control的。Q3里也说明了settled person是有right to work，在code-of-practice-for-employers的list A里也有明确的答案，所以从这个文件看，只是针对于永居纸持有者找工作来讲的。整体来看，ilr是no subject to immgration control的。
永居这个两年是个限制，除了这个以外就是这个对永居纸不在current passport上的人员找工作时的限制了，其实换成brp或者入籍就好啦。
变着法子收钱呀
换了卡的话，就不方便两本护照一起用了
我的护照2017到期。。。。刚还说新的和旧的一起用。。。难道说不行了？！是这个意思么?

哇，最可耻的是为什么换个卡要这么多钱，又不是我们的错，使他们系统的改变呀
出入境 目前还是可以 新护照 和 老护照（签证在老护照里） 一起用的。
但如果你找工作 或是 换新工作，雇主检查你是否有权力在英国工作 （right to work in UK)，如果你的签证是在老护照里的话，就不认可了。 必须得办BRP 卡。
所以我才说他们坑。 要么都不承认，出入境也必须用BRP卡。 要么都承认。 搞的现在这个样子 雇主出头当恶人。。。
这个没有什么 ‘整体’ 不整体来看的。
既然是 要管理的 ，就是还是受控制的。 英国人办事的逻辑就是，没有列出来/提到的，就不算在里头。 是否有 工作的权利，和是否受移民法控制 不能搅和在一起看啊。
永居没有列在 not subject to immigration control, 那就是 是受控制的。
英国护照哪怕是过期的，都是认可可以作为 right to work 的文件。 永居贴纸只是在老护照里就不承认了。 受不受控制，待遇的区别就是如此。
