本人现在T2签证，在英国工作三年，因为下一个可能的工作只在英国待3个月以及退税的原因，想先回去再回来，不知回去能不能马上申请T5签证来英国短期工作呢？

You can also apply if you’re 18 to 30 and a:
British overseas citizen
British overseas territories citizen
British national (overseas)"
If yes, should be fine then.

看到Tier5 也有针对sponsored researcher的，我是在学校工作的，就是不知道在国内没有工作，靠对方经费支持的算不算
关键看你的学校的相关项目是否有担保资格发Tier 5 （Temporary Worker）的CoS。
Sorry, 以为你讲的T5是“working holiday”那一类的，之前有香港的朋友办过，所以只知道这一类签证是T5的。就你讲的应该是“Tier 5 Temporary Worker - Government Authorised Exchange visa”，很抱歉这个就不了解了，还是等有经验的达人回答了:cn15:

如果拿到cos的话，另外准备900镑存够3个月，或者雇主担保生活费，就可以直接申请了。不用等
