以后T2 只能续签一次的说法是不是不对？

If this is your first application for Tier 2, your visa will initially be given for one of the following (whichever is shorter):

1）3 years plus 14 days or
2）To the end date given on your CoS plus 14 days

If in the future you apply to extend your stay under Tier 2, your visa may be given for another 3 years, or for the period of time you need to take your total leave granted in Tier 2 to 6 years, whichever is shorter. You cannot stay under Tier 2 for longer than 6 years in total.

认真研究了一下，政策里只提到续签最多给3年。如果只能续签一次的话，总共怎么可能超过6年呢，‘or for the period of time you need to take your total leave granted in Tier 2 to 6 years’ 这句话不就没有意义了吗？

这个规定早就公布了。新的T2 规定就是，第一次一般给3年，然后续签时再给你3年。

如果到第五年时，持有人年收入达到35000镑，就有资格申请永居（PhD leve的工作，比如研究类工作，工资不用达到这个水平）。

如果达不到这个收入水平，T2持有人就没有资格申请永居。当第二次工签到期时（也就是总共持T2在英国居留6年），持有人将不被允许继续续签。必须回国，然后在至少12个月以后，才有再次申请T2的资格。l

我知道早公布了，但是很困惑。
假如第一次给了2年，第二次又2年，那是必须回国了还是可以再延到6年？

你可以呆足六年，一般要是第一次只给两年的话，下一次应该会给足４年。

以前Tier 2时间不是按合同长短走吗？如果第二次续签合同只有1年，那签证是给1年还是3年呢？

给1年，最长3年，哪个短算哪个。

现在纠结的是到底能续签几回。。。

我想这里没有具体说一定只有续签一次。最重要的原则是，不让你那T２居英超过６年。
