请教下，从一份general Tier 2 的工作换到另一个general Tier 2的工作，现在需要离境申请新的Tier 2吗？

为啥看到home office的eligibility(switch to Tier 2)有点儿晕呢。home office列出了几种可以switch的例子，但没有从general转general的，难道需要离境吗？

You must already be in the UK under any of the following visas or schemes:

Tier 1 visa
Tier 2 (Sportsperson) visa
Tier 2 (Minister of religion) visa
Tier 2 (Intra company Transfer) visa under the Immigration Rules in place before 6 April 2010 and you’re applying to change sponsor
Tier 4 visa
You can also switch to a Tier 2 (General) visa if you’re:

a dependent partner of someone with a Tier 4 visa
a representative of an overseas business
You must leave the UK and make your Tier 2 (General) application from abroad if you’re not in any of these categories.[/b]

过来人告诉你，不用。在UK里申请就好

你这不叫switch，叫extend
只有在不同的categories里转换才叫switch。换雇主属于extend

不能回去。 回去了就有个 12months cooling off period

换雇主完全可以境内申请。Switch是指从另一个签证种类转入 Tier 2 general

我也是一样的困扰，在官网找不到T2 general换雇主是否需要离境办。幸好各位给解答了！感谢！！
所以根据04/2017新版的Guidance，T2换雇主，拿到新的CoS可在境内online申请，还需要提供criminal record、存款证明和英文证明吗？

you have the same job as when you were issued your previous permission to enter or stay in the UK
you’re still working for the employer who assigned your certificate of sponsorship
you’re still earning an ‘appropriate salary’ - read the guidance if you’re not sure
