两个人是相同职业的没有关系。只要两位referee和对方没有亲属关系，和你也没有亲属关系就可以。
UKAB 要求原文：
our application must include details of two referees. The referees should have known you personally for at least three years. One referee should be a person of any nationality who is of professional standing such as a minister of religion, civil servant or a member of a professional association such as an accountant or a solicitor. See the list of Acceptable professional persons. The other referee must be a holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or aged 25 years or over.
Both referees must be:
not related to you; and
not related to the other referee; and
not your solicitor or agent representing you with this application; and
not employed by the Home Office.

而且，referee只是一个相对比较辅助性的条件，主要还是看你自身是否符合入籍的要求。

你说你只有四年居英时间现在申请入籍，那么你应该是通过Spouse Visa拿到的永居，而且配偶是英国国籍吧？如果你的配偶（丈夫或是妻子）是英国国籍，那么你的居英时间要求就是3年，而且拿到PR的一刻就可以申请入籍 ( Requirements for naturalisation if you are married to or the civil partner of a British citizen)。在这个情况下就不用给5年了，你把那4年写上就好。 http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/eligibility/naturalisation/spouseorcivilpartnerofcitizen/
