求职-文字阅读题 (Verbal) 解题技巧

在申请过程中一般学生会碰到两种类型的文字阅读题:一种是阅读阅读逻辑题,另外一种是理解题。

我们来说阅读逻辑题。一般都是给你一段话(4-10行不等),然后根据这段话的内容题目给出几个陈述,由申请人判断这几个陈述True, False 还是 Cannot Say。

题型比如说:

A recent survey found that 75% of CFOs were concerned about losing their top performers. At the same time, most finance functions are under heightened pressure to reduce their operating costs. In this environment a thoughtful and structured approach to managing the team is critical.

Successful organizations have long understood the value of adopting a systematic approach to talent management. Continually appraising the resources and skills the organization needs, monitoring labour markets and developing appropriate retention and recruitment strategies will distinguish talent winners from losers.

陈述: During the current economic downturn, lots of top performers have jumped to other jobs or positions.
A. True
B. False
C. Cannot say

陈述:Adopting a systematic approach will help organizations keep their top performers.
A. True
B. False
C. Cannot say

陈述: Appraising the resources and skills, monitoring labour markets and developing appropriate retention and recruitment strategies are the only factors to succeed in this talent war.

阅读逻辑题总体解题原则首先要理解 True, False 或者 Can’t Say。

True:是指该陈述句所阐述的事实或得出的结论是100%根据题目所给的这段话提炼或者逻辑推断出来的。注意点: 你的选择一定是根据文中所提供的内容和线索做出的判断,而非根据自己的常识。

False:是指该陈述句所阐述的事实或得出的结论,跟题目所给的这段话提炼或者逻辑推断出来的不一致,错误甚至相反。 注意点:记住A推出B,并不代表B推出A。你的选择一定是根据文中所提供的内容和线索做出的判断,而非根据自己的常识。

Cannot Say:一般情况下是指你需要进一步的信息才能作出相应的判断。 注意点:记住A推出B,并不代表B推出A,段落所涵盖范围等等。

另外一个关键是熟悉解题关键词。以下是一些关键词可以用来帮助你提高做题速度及正确率。

A. 转折性词: 比如说however, although, but, alternatively, whereas, despite, rather, unless, instead, while 等等
B. 表达绝对性或者泛指性的词: 绝对性词比如说never、 always or no, never, none, always, every, entire, unique, sole, all, maximum, minimum and only; 泛指性词比如说, some, nearly, usually, seldom, regularly, generally, frequently, typically, ordinarily, as a rule, commonly and sometime等等
C. 比较性的词: 比如说most, highest, biggest, least and more, lower, less等等
D. 因果关系的词: since, because, for, so, consequently, as a result, thus, therefore, due to and hence 等等

现在我们来看看阅读理解题, 阅读理解题对我们大多数出国留学生来说并不新鲜。雅思、GRE都有类似的题型。这类题对于不经常阅读的同学来说往往比较难。我们建议增加词汇量并且多阅读英文报纸,最好做相应的笔记, 这样的话, 时间长了自然会有长进。

题型比如说:

Performance related Pay

Setting goals for an employee with a clear reward at the end for achieving those goals should in theory, motivate employees more to strive harder towards reaching them. There are a wide variety of methods used including share schemes, profit related pay and straightforward bonuses, but all schemes assume the promise of pay will provide an incentive to greater performance. Salary can be set on the basis of employee performance evaluation. Targets can vary depending on the type and level of work that the individual employee does. Performance-related pay can also be a useful means for improving employee engagement and retention.

Performance-related pay may not encourage performance

Performance related pay is pay for performance and the better performance you turn in and the harder you work the more you will get to take home. However, academics are now suggesting that more often than not the opposite may be the case. New research shows that, far from encouraging people to strive to reach the heights, performance related pay often does the opposite and encourages people to work less hard. An analysis of several separate experimental studies of financial incentives in employment relations found what the academics carrying out the study described as @ overwhelming evidence@ that these incentives could reduce an employee’s natural inclination to complete a task and derive pleasure from doing so.

阅读理解题做题技巧, 这些技巧对于阅读逻辑题也适用。

A. 首先计算出平均每道题所需花费的时间,确保自己在平均时间之内做完一道题
B. 保持头脑清醒,因为大部分题都有陷阱
C. 一般情况下先阅读问题陈述句, 然后带着问题去段落中寻找可能的答案
D. 不要用常识去判断或者推断
E. 多阅读,多练习是关键
