Providing accurate up-to-date information.
Are bound by the ATC抯 voluntary industry Code of Practice for:
Safety, labelling and packaging;
A random testing programme for essential oils;
Scrutiny by their peers;
Ethical concerns, e.g. animal testing and the conservation of medicinal plants;
And consequently are recognised by the regulatory authorities as responsible suppliers.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME COMPANIES ARE FALSELY CLAIMING ATC MEMBERSHIP OR SOME CONNECTION WITH THE ATC, SUCH AS “ADHERING TO THE ATC’S STANDARDS.” THIS IS NOT PERMITTED AND THE ATC WILL TAKE THE APPROPRIATE ACTION AGAINST SUCH FALSE CLAIMS. WE URGE YOU TO CHECK THE FOLLOWING MEMBERSHIP LIST, WHICH IS KEPT UP TO DATE.
Membership is open to all UK based organisations engaged in the manufacture or supply of essential oils or other aromatherapy products and services, who agree to comply with the Aims and Objectives of the ATC in accordance with the Memorandum & Articles of Association and the Rules & Byelaws.
IT IS THE ATC’S POLICY NOT TO TAKE COMPANIES INTO ATC MEMBERSHIP UNTIL THEY COMPLY WITH THE ATC’S CODE OF PRACTICE . A flexible approach is adopted where applicants have large stocks of labels or literature. A short period of time is given for minor updates and reprints to comply with the ATC’s requirements. In such cases, applicants are required to give a written agreement to do this. Subsequent labels and literature must be submitted for scrutiny prior to printing.
