Yes. You need to apply for a visa. But very simple.
You don’t need any travel plan or itinerary. Or at least I didn’t provide any.
I think you can have your partner’s passport back in the visa centre. Your visa and passport will be posted or collected as your request.

well… I think they stated a minimum period on their website. about 2 weeks I think. But you can never know. My experience was fairly quick actually. less than two weeks.
I am not sure what you are trying to ask. You don’t need to apply for a visa.
You wife will need to apply a visa. The application form will require her to fill her husband’s (your) information.
Just answer what the form asks. There is no surprise.

they should give you long-term multi-entry visa straight away. You are holding a spouse visa. depends on when will your spouse visa expire.
