COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

Motivational Questions

All these questions are trying to find out about you to see if you match what the company is offering.这大类型问题通常是为了探测你对公司和所投职位的了解和认知度

  1.              Why do you want to work for [insert company name here]?

  2.              Why do you want to do the [insert vacancy name here]?

  3.              What is your dream job?

  4.              What motivates you?

  5.              What are your career goals?

  6.              Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?

  7.              What gets you up in the morning?

  8.              What do you like the most and least about working in this industry?

Competency Questions

The following list is a relatively small selection. You should look at the requirements for the job and see what competencies (i.e. skills) they are looking for. Note that some companies talk about other types of questions as competency questions but we divide them due to the different methods for answering them.你的竞争力在哪里，你哪个小细节让面试官只想要你

  1.              Tell me about a time you made a mistake.

  2.              Tell me how you handled a difficult situation.

  3.              Give a time when you went above and beyond the requirements for a project.

  4.              Tell me about a time when you disagreed with your boss.

  5.              Tell me about a time when you had to lead other people. What problems did you face?

General Questions

These questions are all trying to get to know your personality so avoid answers that simply provide factual information but don’t help the interviewer get to know you.让面试官开始了解你，并且留下好的面试印象。

  1.              Tell me about yourself.

  2.              What are your strengths?

  3.              What are your weaknesses?

  4.              How would your friends describe you?

  5.              What was your biggest failure?

  6.              Why should we choose you?

  7.              Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.

  8.              What was the last book you’ve read for fun?

  9.              If I called your boss right now and asked him what an area that you could improve on is, what would he say?

  10.          What are your co-worker pet peeves? (What habits do you find annoying about other people?)

  11.          What are your hobbies?

  12.          What is your favourite website?

  13.          What makes you uncomfortable?

General – From your CV

  1.              Why do you want to leave your current company?

  2.              Why are you looking for a new job?

  3.              Why was there a gap in your employment between [insert date] and [insert date]?

  4.              What are three things your former manager would like you to improve on?

  5.              Take me through your CV.

  6.              Why did you do [insert anything on your CV]?

  7.              Why did you go to [insert any place from your CV]?

Commercial Awareness

这类型问题是中国学生最头疼的，因为它会考察学生对自己行业上商业环境认知，而且需要积累一定的相关case （如果想要了解的细节的可以单独私信我~~~）

  1.              Who are our competitors?

  2.              What is the name of our CEO?

  3.              What is our share price?

  4.              When were we founded?

  5.              What have we been doing recently (and it’s probably on our website in the news section)?

Some Tricky Questions

  1.              Would you work holidays/weekends?

  2.              What are your salary requirements?

  3.              What were your bosses’ strengths/weaknesses?

  4.              Are you a leader or a follower?

  5.              How would you fire someone?

  6.              What questions haven’t I asked you?

总的来说，即使同种类型的公司同个职位，面试中问到的问题也会各不相同，如果想要通过面试，前期的career planning和company research必不可少，首先可以确定好公司范围不至于浪费时间在自己不适合的公司上面，另外一方面有了充分的调查才可以有针对性地回答，general answers是绝对不行的哦~估计大家看了可能还会有很多疑问，可以单独问我:P
