Strangely, there is also an SDLT liability when you get married, or enter into a civil partnership, and part ownership of a property is transferred to a husband, wife or civil partner. In this instance SDLT is payable if the “consideration given” – which is the amount of cash paid or mortgage taken on (or a combination of the two) – is more than the £125,000 threshold at which SDLT becomes payable.

那如何解读政府网站的这段信息?

You don’t pay SDLT if you transfer an interest in land or property to your partner as part of an agreement or court order because you’re either:

divorcing
dissolving a civil partnership

This also applies if the partners either:

annul their marriage
legally separate

In these cases there’s no need to tell HMRC about the transfer, even if the value is more than the SDLT threshold.

我觉得律师和我说的一回事, provided buying out your ex-wife counts as part of your divorce proceedings, 卖断的这份钱本身是否算共同财产是关键。
如果卖断的钱也是共同资产,就不交税。 如果这个钱不属于共同财产,就交税。
