hi I have received a penalty from metropolotian police, the alleged offence is use a motor vehicle/ trailer with tyre with any of the ply/ cord exposed Contrary to regulation 27(1)(e)) of the Road Vechicles (Construction and Use) regulations 1986, section 41A of the Road traffic act 1988 and schedule 2 to the Road traffic offenders Act 1988. Please can you kindly advise how I can best appeal to this and possibly just pay the fine but not the penalty point? kindly advise, thanks

if it is your wish to contest this matter in court you may do so. If you do not wish to contest the matter ten it may be possible to deal with it by a fixed penalty of 100pounds and the endorsement of 3 penalty points on your licence, by post without the need for court proceedings.
不久前开车被警察告知轮胎快磨损完了非常危险，但是他说当场换下就放行，也不会罚款因为照顾到现在日子都挺难的。但是隔几天就收到以上的信，除了罚款还要扣3分。。。我想知道警察这样言行不一是可以的吗？因为他当时只是口头承诺说换了就不会罚款，我也不知道怎么办了。如果appeal说我8月份刚做的MOT，并不知道车轮磨损严重，有可能可以成功吗？

你有当场喊了换轮胎的来 换了轮胎了吗？
还是继续开，之后才换？

如果你没有当着警察的面换了，更何况警察还是口头说的，我觉得 appeal 不可能成功。
MOT 上会写轮胎还有多少毫米； MOT的标准是1.6 （印象里） 基本上我家是3左右就换了。自己放心点。 尤其是开高速，爆胎是非常危险的。

是当着他们面换的呢，哎确实如果警察否认的话，也是几率不大了。。好像只能接受或者是去court，那到时候警察也会去court对吧

信都记到你家里了，警察根本就没把和你口头说的当回事。

你看看你的MOT 记录上轮胎是多少。 其实这个很难赢，因为每次出行前检查车况是每个车主都应该做的，所以你把要被罚款扣分的责任推警察改口上，这个本身很难站住脚。

试下appeal ，说你没注意，但是听从警察的话当着他们的面换了轮胎了，能否从轻处罚。 要是appeal 成功估计就是罚款；不成功，就是罚款扣分+ 负担法庭费用。

看你的贴，给我了警示，准备把我摩托的前轮胎换了，跑了20,000 miles, 新车到现在一直没换。最近几次骑行时，路况不好时，方向就不稳。

这种罚单你都可以自己一人去出庭appeal, 50%情况警察不会来，你就free win，如果人来了，除非他有视频证据，你也赢，如果警察证据确凿，你大不了认罪，很多时候认罪得快法官还会减免惩罚
