家里俩烧火的炉子fireplace（下面叫炉子了）。打算把那个百年老炉子封起来，来看活的那个人，很兴奋说烟筒很大，他喜欢复原这种老炉子的原貌，而不是封死。他说那个炉子是七八十年代的时候被弄小了，因为烟筒巨大，一点热气立马就被吸走。我家那个炉子是百家前，一年四季用来烧火做饭的，所以很大且供暖。他说3000镑给我们复原，plaster，liner，加瓷砖，装log burner ，顺带把我们另一个“大炉子”的上面给加个帽，盖死。我们以为这一个是大大炉子，结果那个百年烟筒比它还大。
我想多做几家报价，但是碰上懂老房子的人不容易。找个handyman 干活便宜，可能把老房子给弄塌了。另外，这个人跟其他本地干这业务的似乎都有私下联系，我怕他在转头从别人那得知我去要报价，后面不好处理。如果价格大差不差，我就用他了。但是自己心里也没个数
我都没考虑过log burner，感觉有central heating。烧柴火也太费劲了。而且感觉政府可能以后禁止全国烧火取暖，减少污染？ 也不知道装不装，想听听大家看法。

好的log burner本身就不便宜，要1-2000镑吧，这样的话看来不算贵。另外要看你是否真的想要烧火取暖/营造气氛，如果没有这个需求就没必要装，只是把它复原作为装饰就很好了。而且单纯作为装饰的话，也就没必要进行烟道里面的工作了，只是重新装个surrounding，hearth，把里面能看到的地方弄的好看一些就好了。但如果你要恢复它的功能就另当别论了。禁用log burner短期不好说，毕竟能源涨价有些人靠它活命呢，长期确实是有风险。可以选择gas，就是没有烧木头那种噼啪声。
这个价格可以接受，如果是我的话，会去装，冬天的早晨烧上一炉，磨一杯咖啡缩在沙发上追个剧，真的会很爽3000就很值

我疫情前装的log burner, 做的假chimney breast ,顺便做了屋顶的plaster。工+料就3000多镑了。
感觉非常棒，寒冷的冬天每天晚上看电视，烧wood log，特别温馨关键是暖和。买木头的时候买dry wood， 烧的特别干净也烟少。

我是不太信好评了。我那律师，我每次发差评，他们就删，根本发不出去。好评都一个味道一个模板。我看脸书群里的推荐和Google好评

贴几个照片吧，我在曼彻斯特附近。虽然是老房子，但是烟囱已经被前房主去掉了，我们在墙上打洞，烟囱是挂在墙外的。感觉这是我们家装修时花的最值的钱。
他们都很专业，家里有地毯的都会给你封好盖起来，垃圾也全收走，非常干净。

主要是装饰，我们这里council规定了 壁炉的烟囱不能冒烟，可以用gas的，但我不太放心。

好像伦敦也没有哪个concil 在有chimeny 的情况下，完全禁止log stove啊？你有官方的council的文件，指明不能吗？我很好奇。
我没有，是我的几个邻居聊天时提到的，他们也想完全恢复壁炉来着，查了说不行。我就没具体查。说是不能有明烟

我声明下这不是广告，2020年他们给我干完这个活就没再联系过，当时我也是做了很多research，最后选中这家，当时的体验是非常棒的，干活快，干净利索，还把我们家的几个其他小地方都plaster了，因为那个假的烟囱他们是要plaster的，非常好说话。

我家两个wood burner ， 烧火的时候确实很解压， 除灰尘的时候很烦恼， 我家的就是把古老大的开放式的火炉改成的， 我队友找朋友和他一起弄， 火炉6KW买好些的AGA 牌子的， 就花了700多英镑， 听说好的火炉省柴省力。 不好的火炉费柴。 烟囱从大改小， 塞隔热管加填隔热颗粒两年前花400英镑左右。 其它的就是人工费， 两个人花2个半天解决的， 楼主大概知道3000 是否划算， 主要是火炉的价格。 火炉买不好的200 -300的， 还有回收二手的
