之前有童鞋想知道 KPMG Advisory 的申请流程，说版里搜到的都是Tax/Audit的，今天有时间就大概写一下。
我申的是Transactions & Restructuring的Mandarin Opportunities, 首三年grad scheme会在伦敦然后有一个六到十二个月的secondment会在中国。这个Mandarin Opportunities的stream要求的是fluent mandarin对中国人比较有利。

Online Application:
这个没有什么好说，相信大家对Online Application form都不会陌生。我个人感觉KPMG的form是我见过比较简单的，Long question只有三道：
What attracts you to the position you have applied for?
Why do you want to work for KPMG?
What do you think you will be doing in your first year at KPMG?
Application form里面还有一份PAPI questionaire就是行为性格问卷，不知道有多重要但是正常回答应该不会有问题。 -
Online test:
我记得交了application后大概2-3天就有online test。他们的online test不是SHL的没记错的话应该是Cubiks的。布局跟SHL的大概一样但我感觉numerical的比SHL要难，除了numerical还有verbal reasoning这个跟SHL难度差不多。 -
Mandarin Language Assessment:
KPMG用一家叫Marcus Evans的公司帮他们做中文面试，他们是一家专业的language services公司。面试不难，他们会跟你聊聊天和考阅读。 -
Telephone interview:
这里最重要的是要了解KPMG想要的competency。整个interview大概45分钟有半个小时都会问competency based question。KPMG的网页把八个competency写得很清楚，每一个competency准备一个答案就可以。
除了competency还有几个business awareness的问题，我的问题大概是要说两个我觉得KPMG要注意的sector。我说了energy and healthcare，然后要给他们重要的原因。还问了一家我觉得有growth potential的公司。 -
Assessment Center
Assessment Center分三个部分，早上有e-tray excercise。E-tray基本就是要你分析资料然后回复一堆电邮，e-tray里有一部份是multiple choice还有三道要你自己打字的问题。Multiple choice没什么问题但打字的几道题时间很紧，我最后一道题没有完成。Multiple choice和打字题的时间是分开计时的。
做完e-tray就吃午饭了，会有两个在grad scheme里的employee跟你一起吃。
下午有group exercise跟partner interview。Group exercise是关于一家online retail company要你分析一堆资料然后跟组里的人讨论如何提高这家公司的收入。你们讨论的时候会有两个人坐在房间里观察你们，这里要求的是teamwork，你不能不说话但也要让其他人表达他们的意见。
最后就是partner interview，你要事前先准备一个十分钟的presentation。Presentation是关于你自己选择的一家公司，presentation brief:
- A very brief overview of the organisation
2)How they can expand/further develop their business - The advice that you would give to this organisation to ensure
successful development of their business, and why.
这个presentation不能用powerpoint但你可以造一些handout给你的interviewer。我建议不要选太有名的公司，如果你选的公司刚好是你interviewer的client就麻烦了。Presentation完又会问competency question，然后让你问他一些问题就结束了。
如果成功的话非常快就有通知，我离开了大概一个小时那个给我面试的partner就来电话说我通过了。
