Please take part in the Diversity Photography Competition for One World Week!!!
The aim of the brief is to produce a photograph that explores the theme, ‘diversity’.
One World Week looks to inspire, inform, entertain and spark debate, and we are looking for images that encapsulate this spirit. Themes you may wish to draw inspiration from include, but are not limited to:
Age; disability; ethnicity; gender; gender identity; sexual orientation; and religion/belief.
To enter, simply upload a copy of your image to the group’s Facebook page. Along with your image, please use the description field to offer a short explanation as to why the photograph represents diversity to you. If you don’t have a Facebook profile you can still enter by e-mailing your photograph to [email protected].
The deadline for entries is 6 January 2012 and you can enter as many times as you like.
Members of the Facebook group are asked to ‘like’ the images that they consider to best reflect the brief. On Monday 9th January, the 20 images with the most ‘likes’ will be shortlisted and printed.
You can use images which have been taken on a camera or on a mobile phone, but please be aware that images with limited resolution may not be good enough to print to A4 size for the final judging. Low resolution images will be included in a digital display which will be shown electronically throughout One World Week.
The top 20 images will be displayed, and the final winner of Diversity Photographer of the Year will be chosen by a panel during One World Week at the end of February/beginning of March 2012.
Note: If your photograph is one of the 20 chosen to be exhibited, an image release form may be required. This is to ensure that people in the photographs are happy for them to be used in this way. If this is the case, we will contact you with the appropriate form after the closing date.
